10 Bollywood Debutants to Watch Out for in 2015 - Are these newcomers here to stay?

Every year, we see a sea of newcomers in the Hindi film industry, out of which, only a handful prove their mettle and emerge as promising actors. Here's a list of 10 newbies who will be opening their Bollywood accounts in 2015!


1. Karan Singh Grover

He had us begging for more with his television outings, Dill Mill Gayye and Qubool Hai. Good news for Karan Singh Grover fans, which obviously consist mostly of females! The hot hunk is making his Bollywood debut with director Bhushan Patel's romance horror drama, Alone, opposite the Bollywood bombshell, Bispasha Basu.







2. Mahira Khan

Mahira Khan took our tellies by storm as she romanced the dashing dude Fawad Khan in Humsafar, aired in India this year! The Pakistani beauty will mark her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rahul Dholakia's Raees! While names like Sonam Kapoor were cropping up to play Khan's heroine, Mahira finally bagged the deal.








3. Kapil Sharma

Our favourite stand-up comedian, Kapil Sharma, too will feature in a Hindi film this year! Wow! We are already excited with the news! The comedy genius will be seen in filmmaker duo Abbas-Mustan's "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu". Another newcomer, Eli Avaram, will play Kapil's leading lady in the film.








4. Narmada Ahuja

Ace comedian-actor Govinda's daughter, Narmada Ahuja, will be launched in Bollywood with director Sameep Kang's Second Hand Husband. Punjabi actor Gippy Grewal will be Narmada's hero in the film, whereas Dharmendra, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Deepshikha Nagpal will feature in supporting roles. Narmada will debut with a new screen name – Tina Ahuja with Second Hand Husband.








5. Athiya Shetty

Athiya Shetty is the daughter of actor Suniel Shetty. The beautiful girl will mark her Bollywood debut with filmmaker Nikhil Advani's remake of the 1983 hit flick, Hero. Sooraj Pancholi will play Athiya's leading man in the film, which is set to open in cinema halls in June 2015.










6. Sooraj Pancholi

We remember him from the late Bollywood actress Jiah Khan's suicide case. Sooraj Pancholi, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, will be launched in the Hindi film industry with Hero, opposite Athiya Shetty. The film will be produced by Salman Khan.









7. Swastika Mukherjee

Last year, she made headlines for her intimate scenes with Sushant Singh Rajput in filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee's upcoming thriller, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. Swastika Mukherjee is a heartthrob in Bengali film industry.







8. Akshara Haasan

Akshara Haasan is the daughter of legendary actor Kamal Haasan and sister of Shruti Haasan. She will be foraying into Hindi filmdom with director R Balki's Shamitabh, featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush in principal roles. (Read our Shamitabh Trailer Review here! )









9. Gurmeet Choudhary

Gurmeet has stunned us with his small screen stints. We loved him in his Lord Rama avatar as much as we were charmed with his portrayal of Maan in Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi. The hot hunk joins Bollywood with Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt's mystery thriller, Khamoshiyaan, slated to release on 30th January.









10. Harshvardhan Kapoor

Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has cast actor Anil Kapoor's son and actress Sonam Kapoor's brother Harshvardhan in his next venture, titled Mirza. His leading lady in the film is Saiyami Kher, who is also debuting in Bollywood this year.
